Help! I Need a Wireless Alarm System?
I will be moving to a first floor apartment, in which is a pretty safe neighboorhood, however since I am a single 28 year old female, I would like a security system just in case. Dogs are out of the question for me and my apartment complex only allows wireless systems. I am interested in a system that does not require monitoring through a call center (i.e. ADT), a system that I could program to call 911, a system that I can install myself without pulling my hair, and a system that would come with sensors for windows, I would also like a system that is loud and does not have incredibly long delay but sounds off immediately upon being triggered. Something that is not over $150 would also be good, I have been looking online for the past couple of days, trying to figure it out on my own, and still have not come close to finding an alarm system. Thanks in advance for any advice.

It can call up to 9 different phone numbers and send out a prerecorded message that you make. It’s wireless and Amazon has them for $140. You mentioned that you don’t want to do monitoring through ADT. There are other monitoring companies out there that can work with alarm systems like these. One of them is Monitronics and they are only about $12 per month:

On the system once you get it, you should be able to change the delay. Generally when you come in your door at night or whenever the alarm will start to beep. This is after you have been away from the apartment. If you arm it and stay there, then when someone opens a door it can be set to sound off immediately. My system is an ADT one, but we have some things set to go off immediately and some with a delay.
