How do I sync Mobile Windows Contacts with a PC?

I am using a Dell AXIM X51 PDA running Windows Mobile Version 5 with ActiveSync 4.1 and the PC is a Dell Latitude D620 running Windows XP and Office 2003. I add a contact on my pda but it does not copy it to the computer. In the options I have told it to transfer contacts. There aren’t any error messages and it runs fine. But when I open up Outlook the contacts nor calendar dates there. If I add a contact to Outlook it won’t transfer to the PDA either. What step am I missing?

I had a similar issue once with another WM5 device.. in ActiveSync, de-select the option to sync your email. Once I had done this, it began syncing just fine.

you may want to try upgrading to 4.2
