Girls please read, is this even possible? *warning, lots of information*?

Okay, I’ve hit puberty so I have a period and everything, which is all fine.
My friend and I have always been in a little competition to see who is the most mature. No comments about this please, I know it’s stupid, but it’s just a weird thing we do. Anyway, she wasn’t very happy when I started first.
Lately, when I groaned on about my ‘time of the month’ she said, ‘oh, I can finally say for real I know how you feel’. When I questioned her, she said she started back in December.
She said she woke up and found the blood in knickers scenario. Apparently however, she didn’t use a pad or tampon or anything, just her underwear.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t get away with that. I don’t think it’s possible to get away with that. I have my suspicions that she’s pretending she’s started to seem ‘grown up’.
But if it is possible, I’m pretty envious.
