does it go off if u take the sticker security tag off?
the ones that are on make ups, do they go of if u attmept to take them off in the shop, dw im not planning on nicking its just that i ought an item and they forgot to take it of but its easy as a sticky to remove x
now that i think about it itsnt it silly as someone could take the sticker off and walk out even the gates wouldnt make it active cos there is no security tag
The ones that set off the alarms are one of several I’m aware of:
1. the thing placed on clothes which is like a super large rivet, they remove at checkout
2. A small rectangular square approximately 1/4″ wide 1 ” long and 1/8″ thick
3. A sticker
All three work on a principal that when a radio frequency is passed through an active one, it will change the frequency triggering the alarm. On the latter two, when you go through check out you will, if you pay attention, hear a beep or low buzz indicating to the cashier it has been deactivated. The first one is removed, but I have known people to get home and find one still stapled to that new outfit they were planning to wear that night. Boosters use paper bags lined inside with aluminum foil, with another bag inside that, to circumvent these devices. If you are tall enough and have a hat on you can take the item overtop the sensor also. I am not promoting shoplifting, simply explaining a technology that some people are unfamiliar with. Perhaps some ten year old brainiac will read this and build a better mousetrap.
