Are Sentry Fire Safes Suitable for Guns?
I am looking to get a Springfield XDM .40 Compact hand gun and with it I am looking to get a safe. I have also needed a safe for a while. I have been shopping around and am wondering if a 1.2 cu ft fire safe from sentry would be suitable for holding a firearm? I am looking to stay under 250 for the cost. Thank you.
Yes, it will work just fine. You and your guns are actually under more of a threat from fire than you are from burglary (unless you live in a high crime area).
Although I have a substantial gun safe in my downstairs gun room, the gun in my bedroom is locked away in a Sentry Fire Safe when I’m not home.
