Help with question on The Diary of Anne Frank! Even if you didn’t read it see if you can help me! Please!?
I started reading the diary of Anne frank for school, and a question I have to answer is below.
3. Anne mentions many restrictions the Jews must abide by. Why is she not more worried about the Nazis?
Anne and her family are hiding out so they don’t get caught, arrested, and if anything happens with the laws for Jews they will already be safe hidden away. So Anne starts a diary and she says things like Jews have to wear a yellow star, only shop at certain hours of the day, can only shop in certain stores, can’t go outside after 8 , and few more things. The question asks why doesn’t she worry about the Nazis. I am not sure but maybe it is because the Nazi’s were the ones they were hiding from. Is that right? I’m not sure. Thank you.
The Nazis were the ones who put those laws in place — so yes, she was afraid of them. They also came to houses and just took people for no reason (Nacht und Nebel — Night and Fog). People just disappeared.
As time passed, things got worse for the Jews and many were captured and transported. The Nazis did all of this.
