How do i change mp3 to cd so it will play on cd player?

Hello, im trying to burn mp3 format audio to cd so i can put it in cd player obviously it will burn it but not play on cd player dose anyone know of a programme to do this. I have VLC media player(aswell as Windowsmp),Power audio video dvd converter, which is confusing to say the least.There must be a simple way surely, Martin
