Hinge pin mounted door closer adjustments. How do I make them?

Someone removed the hinge pin closer. Now I’m unsure how to readjust. It has a visible spring with a tensioner nut and washer with hole for a pin on top and two toothed legs on bottom.

There should be a pin in one of the holes on top. Use an allen wrench that is the size of the hole to rotate the hinge pin to apply tension. As you turn the hinge pin, insert the catch pin in the hole closest to the door, and repeat until the door closes and latches on its own. Hope this helps.
