Where is the siren driver? Security siren switch?

So we opted out for a ADT safewatch 3000 system. When we had our old system I didn’t like where the siren was when I was younger, we disconnected it. Then when we got the new system the guy puts in that crappy little sounder that ADT systems come with. Now I hate it, I didn’t even recognize it when it went off. Now though I want to hook up the old siren, a true siren, and change out that little thing for another real siren. I saved the speaker, but I have no idea where the siren driver is? Would it be in the old control box, near the siren, or somewhere in between where you can’t get to it? Also the indoor siren is going to be an ademco 747. I’ve noticed that ones higher pitched and one is lower pitched why is that? Different models?

It can vary depending on the equipment you have as like all companies ADT use equipment from a number of manufacturers which may be badged ADT or not. On some exterior boxes is a stand alone siren which will have the driver built in so only requires 12v DC to operate but the boxes with built in siren it is only a speaker and the driver will be part of the printed circuit board.
