How can I repair a scratch on ceramic tile made with a carbide drill bit?

While doing some bathroom renovations, I scratched my ceramic tile with the carbide drill bit I was using to drill through it. What can I do to remove the scratch? I’ve already tried acetone, rubbing alcohol, abrasive bleach cleaner (Comet), and numerous rags, pads, toothbrushes, etc. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

Okay, if you have broken the glaze to the tile you need to replace the tile. Now if you have just scarred it with discoloration, then all is not lost. Go to your local hardware store and look for a “Pumas Stone” This is as it sounds, a piece of volcanic rock shaped into a rectangle. A pumas stone is used to clean commodes and virtuose China IE: Porcelain. We use it on tubs, tiles sinks commodes and any other surface that is made of glass type surface or tile. If you have scored the tile, then get a grout saw, carefully cut the grout around the tile and remove it. Take the piece to your home improvement center and match it up. a little adhesive and grout and you are good as new. Might take you an hour or two but is is worth it.
