Place to paint a scratch?
So the other day, as I was pulling into a parking spot I hit a chick. I scratched the passanger side of her car in the process on the door guard. The scratch is right on the door guard and is about a foot long and like half an inch wide, cant even notice but whatever. The question I got is what are some places to get it painted and I am thinking about going to my insurance to cover it but am not sure if they will raise my rate because of it. We filed police report but the officer said she wont even file it because the damage is so small so I am not sure which way to go now.
She supposedly did get an estimate – for $180 and since I’m a student I cant really afford that but I got an estimate for about $75 and one place that will do it for $35 if the paint is already available to them.
call your ins co and ask – usually there is a certain amt of damage needed before your rates will go up – like at least 2500 dollars worth (they are all diffrent) – also the police dont do a report unless its over 1500 (i think thats the magic number)
