Choice Alert

Any reccomendations for a non-monthly $ DIY wireless home alarm system? Ex: GE Choice Alert, X10, AAS, Ademco?

Don’t want to pay a monthly monitoring fee, just an upfront $500 or so for the self-installed system (or a couple hundred dollars for installation if its reccomended). I’d like a remote (or an external keypad) and an external alarm siren so that burglars cant just break the keypad once inside and silence the alarm. Would need about 10-15 window/door sensors, and maybe 2 motion sensor for the garage/shed. And again, would like wireless for ease of installation, with enough range for a 2000 sq ft house. Many thanks in advance!

Go with Ademco system. DSC has alot of quirks and is not good in large houses. Especially if youre going to be using a wireless system. If you get a DSC 9047 god help you… THEY SUCK
