Are there any negative side effects from aiming an infrared camera at my child through the night?
This question is more concerned with the long term implications of using a child monitoring system for many years. I just started using this machine to watch my child at night. Although this is a great system I am somewhat worried that there may be some negative implications or side effects of using such a system for a prolonged period of time (here every night in the foreseeable future for a couple of years). My quick research has not come up with anything but I was only looking for an hour or so. Any professional advice is greatly appreciated and welcome. Thanks!
I too, do not believe it to be harmful to the child.
After all it is not a beam as much as it is a form of camera which monitors movement and heat.
There should be no long term affects as long as it is not a laser pointer which could damage the retina in his/her eyes.
