My lodger has threatened to kill me. What should I do?
My lodger who is due to move out in 4 days keeps threatening to “break my legs” and also “to kill me” after she moves out and her deposit is returned. This was all captured on CCTV (Audio and Visual) in my bedroom.
Now normally I would shrug this off however she has a set of front door keys. Now I am worried she may make a copy of one before vacating the property in 4 days. With this key I am worried she may try to access the property in the future and cause criminal damage or assault myself or one of my other lodgers.
What would be your advice the way I see it I have 3 options:
1. Do nothing, (Risk that she isn’t going to act on her numerous threats
2. Have locks replaced at her expense and deduct the costs from her deposit. (causing more anger to herself)
3. Contact the police with the CCTV evidence. (this may be slightly too much)
Any responses will be gratefully received.

Was there a mirror on the ceiling of you bedroom? Why did you let them in your bedroom? The police will be wanting to know more information not just the facts, like why you didn’t report it right away? Maybe you are trying to hide sum thing? plus if lodger goes to jail what happens when they get out of jail?
