Is it difficult to set up a home security camera system?
We just bought an eight camera system with a DVR etc, and as I take everything out of the box, I wonder, is this going to twist me up, or is there a tip from someone on the best way to go about it? thank you for any response.
The easiest way is to unpack everything in one room and then hookup everything in that one room. You can disconnect it once you know where you want the cameras to go, but make sure all of your cameras are working. Then you can label you cameras with some masking tape with #’s and do that with your cables too. Then you know where everything goes and you know it works before you hook up 7 cameras and the 8th one doesn’t work. For those cameras too if you put any outside, you will do better if you have good lighting outside. There are some really cool programs you can get for your iphone that will let you see what’s on the DVR remotely
