ADT Alarm response if Phone line is cut or unplugged?
Quick question about ADT’s Alarm response. Say someone cut or unplugged the phone line from my exterior interface box. Would ADT get a signal that they lost a connection and call the police? I’m asking this because I’m trying to install a few X10 sirens and to test them I have to make the alarm sound for about 5 mins and I don’t want to alert ADT, so should I just unplug my main phone line?

(PS: If anyone knows how to program X10 Power horns on the Ademco Lynxr-en system please say so as im in a bit of a problem)

does anyone know for sure form experience that ADT will be notified as I don’t want to waste time calling in and telling them.
ok thanks guys, thought i would be on the phone for 1/2 hour, but ADT has some good service, they got my call right away, thanks for the replies
Don’t know nothing about the X10, but in most cases if the phone interface is lost the alarm company will know. So, simply call ADT and let them know that from X time to X time you will have the phone line unplugged.
